SCRANTON, Pa.- The Immaculata softball team dropped both games of their doubleheader at Marywood on Sunday. Immaculata fell 11-4 in game one, and 8-0 in game two. Bryele Anthony was 4-4 in game one with three stolen bases, and two runs scored. Anthony reached the 100 stolen base mark, with her steal in the first inning of game one. She went 1-2 with a stolen base in game two.
With the loss Immaculata falls to 14-22 overall and finishes 5-5 in Atlantic East Conference play. Marywood improves to 17-17 overall and is 7-3 in Atlantic East Conference play.
Immaculata finished in a three-way tie with Neumann and Gwynedd Mercy for the third and fourth spots in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament at 5-5. Immaculata clinched the third seed in the AEC Tournament in the tiebreaker. Neumann was clinched the fourth seed, and Gwynedd Mercy was eliminated from the tournament. This will be Immaculata's first trip to the post season since 2022.
