IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata softball team dropped both games of their doubleheader vs Penn State Brandywine at the IU Softball Field on Wednesday. Immaculata fell 7-1 in game one, and 9-5 in game two.
Maddy Formica went 4-8 on the day with a run scored, and an RBI.
Jess Oldham had an RBI in the first game, and
Allison Hill had two RBIs in game two.
Alexis Andrada hit her first collegiate home run in game two. Immaculata falls to 14-20 overall, and they are 5-3 in Atlantic East Conference play. Penn State Brandywine improves to 29-7, and they are 13-1 in United East Conference play.

How it Happened
- Penn State Brandywine scored three runs in the top of the first inning to take a 3-0 lead.
- Immaculata got a run back in the bottom of the first on a Jess Oldham RBI single to right field that scored Bryele Anthony to cut the lead to 3-1.
- Penn State Brandywine increased their lead to 5-1 in the top of the fifth with a two-run home run to left field.
- Penn State Brandywine would add single runs in the sixth and seventh as they went on to win 7-1.

How it Happened
- Penn State Brandywine scored three runs in the top of the third inning on a solo home run and a pair of RBI singles to take a 3-0 lead.
- In the bottom of the third, Maddy Formica had an RBI single to center field to score Steph Kelly. Rylee Martin drove in a run with a base loaded walk to score Kate Daly. Allison Hill followed with a two-run single to center field to score Bryele Anthony and Maddy Formica to give Immaculata a 4-3 lead.
- Penn State Brandywine tied the score at 4-4 with a runner scoring on a wild pitch in the top of the fourth inning.
- In the bottom of the fourth inning, Alexis Andrada hit a solo home run to left field for her first collegiate home run to put Immaculata back in front 5-4.
- Penn State Brandywine tied the score at 5-5 in the top of the fifth inning on an RBI triple.
- In the top of the sixth inning, Penn State Brandywine scored on a wild pitch and an RBI double to take a 7-5 lead.
