DOYLESTOWN, Pa.- The Immaculata softball team earned a split in their non-conference doubleheader at Delaware Valley on Tuesday. Immaculata fell in game one to the Aggies 4-1, before winning game two 5-1.
Emma Mercadante earned the win in game two allowing only four hits, one earned run and had three strikeouts. Catcher
Emma Pinto went 2-4 with an RBI for Immaculata in the win in game two.

How it Happened
- Delaware Valley opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with an RBI single up the middle to take a 1-0 lead.
- Delaware Valley added a run in the bottom of the third inning with an RBI double to left.
- Delaware Valley increased their lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning with a two-run single up the middle.
- Immaculata got on the scoreboard in the top of the fifth inning when Jess Oldham reached first on an error by the third baseman that allowed Bryele Anthony to score.
- Delaware Valley held on to win the game 4-1.

How it Happened
- Immaculata opened the scoring in the top of the first. Carlee Karcher got on base on a fielder's choice, Jess Oldham advanced to third and scored on a throwing error by the catcher that also allowed Ava Marchese to score to give Immaculata a 2-0 lead.
- In the top of the third, Immaculata added a run when Carlee Karcher reached first on an error by the shortstop that allowed Jess Oldham to score. Emma Pinto singled up the middle to score Karcher to increase the lead to 4-0.
- Delaware Valley got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth inning with an RBI double to left field to cut the Immaculata lead to 4-1.
- Immaculata added a run in the top of the seventh inning when Emily Davis hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Rukudzo Taruwinga to make the score 5-1.
- Emma Mercadante retired the side in order in the bottom of the seventh, ending the game on a strike out.
