ARLINGTON, Va.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team defeated Marymount 10-5 in an Atlantic East Conference game to extend their winning streak to eight games on Wednesday.
David Azzarano scored two goals and had one assist, and
Ryan Gorman,
Ben Wesolowski, and
Connor Teears each scored two goals for Immaculata.
Matthew Ludlow made 16 saves in goal for the Mighty Macs.

With the win Immaculata improves to 11-5 overall and is 4-0 in Atlantic East Conference play. Marymount falls to 9-5 overall and is 3-1 in Atlantic East Conference play. Immaculata has now clinched the Atlantic East Conference Regular Season Title and will be the first seed in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament.

How it Happened
- Connor Teears opened the scoring unassisted at 13:49 to Immaculata a 1-0 lead. Gavin Thompson scored back-to-back goals for Marymount at 13:13 and 12:34 to give the Saints a 2-1 lead. David Azzarano tied the score at 2-2 with a goal assisted by Nicholas DeFilippo at 5:33, and Ben Wesolowski scored unassisted to give Immaculata a 3-2 lead at 3:53.
- Immaculata scored both goals in the second quarter of play with Ryan Gorman scoring unassisted at 10:10, and Robbie Wishart scored unassisted at 1:20 to send Immaculata into the half-time break leading 5-2.
- Marymount opened the scoring with a goal from Ian Fructuoso at 13:31 to cut the Immaculata lead to 5-3. Connor Teears scored assisted by David Azzarano at 8:37, and Ben Wesolowski scored assisted by Joseph Biuso at 6:29 as Immaculata took a 7-3 lead into the fourth quarter. Immaculata goalkeeper Matthew Ludlow made seven saves in the third quarter.
- Marymount scored first in the fourth quarter with a goal from Bryan McGuire at 13:21. Ryan Gorman got the goal back for Immaculata, scoring at 12:26, assisted by Joseph Biuso. David Azzarano scored his second goal of the game unassisted at 8:07, and Jason Smaron scored at 4:31 assisted by Jude Azzarano to extend the Immaculata lead to 10-4. Gavin Taylorson scored a late goal for Marymount at 1:00. Immaculata would go on to close out the win 10-5 for the program's first win against Marymount.
