CHESTER, Pa.- The Immaculata softball team spit their non-conference doubleheader at Widener on Thursday afternoon. Widener won the first game 6-2. Immaculata's offense broke out in the second game, scoring all thirteen runs in the first three innings in their 13-0 win. Maddy Formica went 1-3 with five RBIs, Jess Oldham was 1-2 with a home run and three RBIs, Carlee Karcher hit a home run and had two RBIs. Riece Onorato threw a five inning five hit shutout for the win. With her two stolen bases in game two, Bryele Anthony broke her own single season record for steals with her 27th stolen base of the season. Immaculata improves to 11-15 overall, and they are 3-1 in Atlantic East Conference play. Widener moves to 9-18 overall, and they are 1-8 in MAC Commonwealth play.

Immaculata opened the scoring in the top of the first inning, when Bryele Anthony led off with a bunt single. She stole second base and scored on a bunt by Maddy Formica. Formica advanced to second on an error and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly by Carlee Karcher, giving Immaculata a 2-0 lead.

In the top of the third inning, Maddy Formica tripled to right field with the bases loaded to score Lily Hagan, Steph Kelly, and Kate Daly. Jess Oldham followed with a two-run home run to right center. Carlee Karcher went back-to-back with Oldham with an inside-the-park home run down the line in right field to increase the Mighty Macs lead to 13-0.

Bryele Anthony was 1-4, with two runs scored, with one RBI and two stolen bases. With her second stolen base in the third inning, Anthony broke her own IU program single season record for stolen bases with her 27th stolen base.
