HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.- The Immaculata women's flag football team opened their first full season on Friday with an Atlantic East Conference tri-match at Centenary against Penn State Schuylkill and Centenary. Immaculata lost both games of the tri-match falling the PSU-Schuylkill 19-6 and fell to Centenary 20-6 in their second game.

In their first game, Immaculata opened with the ball. On the first play from scrimmage
Sydney Butcher ran for 44 yards to the PSU 22-yard line. The drive would stall at the 19-yard line as the Mighty Macs turned the ball over on downs.

PSU-Schuylkill would open the scoring with 4:30 remaining on the clock in the first quarter on a five-yard run for touchdown. PSU would convert the extra-point with a run to lead 7-0.

PSU-Schuylkill would extend their lead to 13-0 with a touchdown run of 10-yards. Immaculata would get a stop on the extra-point rush attempt.

Immaculata would get on the board near the end of the third quarter as
Sydney Butcher hit
Eliana Szatkowski for a 43-yard touchdown for Immaculata. The extra point pass attempt was incomplete, so Immaculata cut the PSU lead to 13-6.

Penn State Schuylkill would add a touchdown in the fourth quarter to close out the win 19-6.

In their second game, after Immaculata had the first possession of the game, Centenary opened the scoring on their first possession with a 12-yard run for a touchdown with 7:30 remaining in the first quarter. The point after attempt was good as the Cyclones took a 7-0 lead.

Centenary extended their lead in the second quarter on a 57-yard run for touchdown with 0:25 remaining in the quarter. The point after run attempt was stopped, and the Cyclones led 13-0.
Centenary would add another score in the third quarter on a 15-yard touchdown run, and they converted the point after try to increase their lead to 20-0.

Natalie Dodd hit
Eliana Szatkowski with an 11-yard touchdown pass. The point after pass was incomplete, to make the score 20-6.
