DAVENPORT, FL.- The Immaculata baseball team came from behind to defeat Mitchell College 2-1 in their first game at the RussMatt Collegiate Invitational on Saturday. The win was Immaculata's first victory of the season, as starter
Alex LePage threw seven strong innings to earn the win for the Mighty Macs.

With the win, Immaculata improves to 1-6 overall. With the loss, Mitchell College falls to 2-6 overall.

How it Happened
- In the top of the third, Mitchell loaded the bases with two outs. Alex LePage ended the threat with a strikeout.
- In the bottom of the sixth Immaculata got runners on second and third with two outs but were unable to score the runners.
- Mitchell took a 1-0 lead in the top of the seventh with a two-out single, followed by double to score the game's first run.
- Immaculata responded in the bottom of the seventh Ryan Struble led off with a triple to center field. Matt Passerini tripled to left field to score Struble. Sal Serici would reach base on an error by the third baseman to score Passerini to give Immaculata a 2-1 lead.
- Derek Andrada came on in relief to pitch two innings of relief to earn the save for Immaculata.
