IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata baseball team suffered their first home loss of the 2025 season to Haverford College, falling in Friday afternoon's matchup 3-17. Haverford scored in each of the first six innings, earning a comfortable lead they'd maintain for the duration of the contest. The Fords improved to 10-3 on the season with the victory as the Mighty Macs sit 3-12 through their first fifteen games.
How it Happened
- Haverford collected an unearned run in the first inning and scored on an RBI groundout in the second. Three runs came to pass for the Fords in the third as doubles found the gaps, leading to a 5-0 lead for the visitors.
- Immaculata earned back a run in the bottom of the third, as Ryan Nace found outfield grass with a single to score Will Kelley.
- Haverford doubled their run total in the top of the fourth inning, using four hits to bring five runs across the plate.
- The top of the fifth was equally ugly for the Mighty Macs, as the Fords posted a six run inning with four walks and four hits.Â
- A Will Kelley walk, Steven Theisen single, and Sal Serici groundout allowed Matt Passerini to score in the bottom of the fifth. Passerini would reach base on a fielder's choice.
- The Fords' seventeenth run came on a passed ball in the top of the sixth.
- Immaculata left two men on in the sixth and seventh inning, but would earn their third run in the ninth. JT Luther doubled to left before advancing to third on a groundout. He'd cross the plate on a passed ball during the Macs' next at bat.Â

- Steven Theisen reached base four times, going 3-3 with a walk.
- Robert Woodward went 2-2 at the plate and reach on a hit by pitch.Â
- Nick Matteo pitched four innings with no earned runs against. He'd strike out four batters, surrendering one hit and two walks.

The Mighty Macs will look to rebound against Ursinus College tomorrow afternoon. They'll play the Bears at 12:00pm and 2:30pm on Saturday, March 22nd.
