KUTZTOWN, Pa.- The Immaculata men's track and field team was one of eleven schools to send an entry to the Golden Bear Invitational, hosted by Kutztown University. The Mighty Macs competed well with a number of program leaderboard finishes, capped off by a new record set in the long jump.
Track Results
Aaron Cuthbert ran a personal best 7.03 in the 55 meter dash, good for third in Immaculata history.
Maurice Franklin ran a 7.60, slotting tenth in IU's record book.
Maurice Franklin competed in the 400m, placing eighth in the meet with a time of 59.23.
Immaculata had four runners compete in the 800m:
Connor Kakowski,
Jimmy Lauer,
Jason Canterino, and
Kendall Budlow. Kakowski earned a third place finish with a 2:18.36, as Lauer followed with a season-best 2:33.08, placing sixth in the meet. Canterino placed seventh with a 2:57.65, as Budlow placed eighth with a 3:04.67.
Samuel Domencic earned a third place finish in the mile, timed at 4:38.57, while Chris Watson ran a 5:05.78 in the event.
Field Results
Aaron Cuthbert broke the Immaculata school record in the long jump, recording a personal best 6.40 meters (21 feet). He'd place third overall in the meet.
Luke Micsky had three personal best throws in the shot put, his best marked at 8.72 meters.
Joshua Derocher threw 9.93 meters (32'-7") in the event.

The Mighty Macs are back in action tomorrow, as they are set to compete in the Haverford College Keogh Invitational. Start time is set for 10am with events beginning at 10:30am.
