Men's Basketball Falls at Marywood in Season Finale

SCRANTON, Pa.- The Immaculata men's basketball team fell to Marywood 76-60 in their 2024-25 season finale. Seniors John Proctor scored 15 points, with six rebounds and two assists, Ryan Straub scored 11 points with six rebounds, three assists, and two steals, and John Flood scored eight points with four rebounds, four assists, and one blocked shot to lead Immaculata.

With the loss Immaculata concludes their season 8-17 overall, and 3-9 in Atlantic East Conference play. Marywood improves to 13-12 overall and are 5-7 in Atlantic East Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Ryan Straub opened the scoring with a three-pointer and John Proctor scored on a layup as Immaculata took an early 5-2 lead. Straub hit a second three-pointer and Proctor scored on another layup as Immaculata increased their lead to 10-5. Marywood responded with a 13-0 run to take a 25-12 lead with 8:40 remaining in the first half. Dylan Crews broke the Marywood run with a pair of free throws followed by a layup.
  • Marywood hit a pair of three-pointers to extend their lead 37-25 with 4:20 remaining in the half. Immaculata would get three-pointers of their own from Kevin Telesford and Robbie Logan to close the Pacers lead to 49-34 with 1:59 remaining in the half. John Flood hit a jumper for Immaculata in the final minute as Marywood took a 44-36 lead into the halftime break. Ryan Straub and Kevin Telesford led Immaculata with six points each in the first half.
  • John Proctor scored on a layup and a jumper early in the second half for Immaculata. Marywood hit a three-pointer with 16:36 remaining to extend their lead to 58-42. Ryan Straub scored on a layup for Immaculata on an assist from Tym Richardson. Marywood increased their lead to 70-46 with 9:50 remaining in the game.
  • John Flood scored on a tip in, John Proctor completed a three-point play, and Ryan Straub hit a three-pointer pull Immaculata back with in 16 with 8:16 remaining. Proctor would score on a layup and hit a pair of free throws later in the half. Cedric Zellars scored on a jumper for Immaculata with 1:27 remaining for his first collegiate points. Marywood closed out the win 76-60.
