Men's Basketball Falls to Widener Pride

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata men's basketball fell behind early on Wednesday against the Widener University Pride, as the visitors took a 91-77 win.

The Mighty Macs are 1-7 for the season. Their first AEC game will be on Wednesday, Jan. 7 versus Neumann.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST WIDENER
  • The Pride pounced on a quick 11-2 lead before a Marquis Peoples Jr. jumper cut into the run. The two sides would trade baskets later in the half, as a Mandon Seapoe layup was sandwiched between two Widener layups. A 10-2 Immaculata run gave the Mighty Macs a spark going into the locker room, as they cut the visitors' advantage to 45-32.
  • With Widener up 17 in the second half, the Mighty Macs hit consecutive triples via Dylan Crews and Seapoe. Domenic Vacchiano and Kevin Telesford contributed eight unanswered points, with each hitting a three-pointer. Although Immaculata got the score within 11, Widener's lead was too much to overcome. The Pride won 91-77.
