  • The Immaculata Field Hockey team (4-10) returns to action on Friday afternoon when they host The College of Wooster at Draper Walsh Stadium for their final non-conference game.
  • Friday is Senior Day for the Immaculata field hockey team as they honor seven seniors for their contributions to Immaculata and the field hockey team.
  • Immaculata enters Friday's game after falling to St. Mary's College of Maryland at home on Wednesday.
  • The College of Wooster (2-6, 2-3 NCAC) enters Friday's game after falling 2-1 in overtime at Delaware Valley on Wednesday evening.

  • The Fighting Scots entering Friday's game have dropped their last four contests. They lost NCAC games to Denison, Ohio Wesleyan, and Wittenberg and dropped their non-conference game to Delaware Valley on Wednesday.
  • Senior midfielder Lizzie Hardy leads Wooster with four goals and eight points.
  • Junior defender Brooke Benjamin scored one goal and has two assists for four points.
  • Sophomore forward Frankie Zehnal has scored two goals and has four points.
  • Senior goalkeeper Cate Barkdoll is 2-6 and has made 66 saves on 84 shots faced.
  • As a team the Fighting Scots are averaging 12.3 shots per game, and their opponents are averaging 22.4 shots per game.
 
DEFENSIVE STANDOUT
  • Victoria Atkinson had three defensive saves in the game vs St. Mary's (Md.).
  • She is the first IU player to record three defensive saves in a game since Makenzie Sassaman had three in a game vs Molloy on September 29, 2018.
 
NOTES ABOUT THIS SENIOR CLASS
  • This senior class has compiled an impressive 29 career victories and enters the 2025 season with a 10-6 record in AEC regular season play.
  • They've delivered in the postseason, winning a playoff game in each of their three previous seasons:
  • 2022: Defeated Gwynedd Mercy in the AEC First Round in a shootout. Senior Abby Fekete (as a freshman) took the first shootout attempt and scored for the Mighty Macs.
  • 2023: Beat Gwynedd Mercy 1-0 in overtime in the AEC First Round.
  • 2024: Shut out Gwynedd Mercy 1-0 in the AEC Semifinals
  • These seniors played a pivotal role in the historic 2024 season, helping the team achieve:
  • The program's first winning season (10-9) since 1989
  • The program's first conference championship game appearance since 1982.
