Women's Soccer Falls to Alvernia in Non-Conference Match Up

READING, Pa. -The Immaculata women's soccer team (1-1-0, 0-0-0 AEC) was back in action on Sunday, when the traveled to play at Alvernia. The Mighty Macs fell to the Golden Wolves 4-1.

Senior captain Rachel McNamee scored the lone goal for the Mighty Macs on a free kick in the second half of play.

How it Happened
  • Alvernia controlled the play early in the first half.
  • Immaculata goalkeeper Emily Guthier stopped the first scoring chance for Alvernia in the game's 15th minute that resulted in corner kick.
  • Alvernia opened the scoring on the corner kick as Tayler Flaherty headed the corner into the net to give the Golden Wolves a 1-0 lead.
