IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata baseball team concluded their regular season dropping a pair of games this afternoon to Cabrini.

GAME ONE:IMMACULATA:3 CABRINI:4 (7)

Cabrini jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with a run in both the first and second innings. The Mighty Macs would respond with a pair of runs in the 3
rd inning, with
Shawn Haut driving in the first on a sacrifice fly, and
Steven Theisen singling up the middle to bring home
Joey Wright and tie the game up at 2-2.

Cabrini would add a pair of runs in the 4
th to take a 4-2 lead. Immaculata would cut the lead to one in the 5
th when Haut scored on a Cabrini defensive miscue. In the bottom of the 7
th the Cavaliers would cut down the potential tying run at the plate on a perfect throw from center field to hold on and win the game.

Jake Confrey threw three scoreless innings of relief to keep the Mighty Macs in striking distance.

GAME TWO: IMMACULATA:2 CABRINI:19 (5)

The Cavaliers put up a seven spot in the first inning and never looked back. They would add runs in the 3
rd,4
th and 5
th.

Immaculata would get on the board in the bottom half of the fifth inning, freshman
Josh Goulburn added his first career hit and RBI to drive in the Macs first run. Freshman
Colin Moonblatt added his first career RBI with a fielder's choice in the inning to bring home Joey Mazzone.

The Immaculata baseball team will be the #3 seed in the Atlantic East Conference tournament which begins Wednesday, May 8
th with the Mighty Macs traveling to #2 Cabrini for the first round. Game Time for Wednesday is at 3:00 PM. The rest of the tournament will be held on Friday and Saturday at Marymount University, the #1 seed. Gwynedd Mercy will round out the tournament earning the #4 seed.
