RADNOR,Pa.- The Immaculata baseball team dropped their series opener to Cabrini this afternoon by a score of 2-1.

It was a pitcher's dual at Cabrini-Carroll Field this afternoon, with the score deadlocked at 0-0 through five innings.
Josh Crowding got the Mighty Macs on the board first with a solo homerun to left center field to give Immaculata a 1-0 lead in the top of the 6
th inning.

Cabrini would respond with an unearned run in the seventh to tie it up and then took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 8
th. The Mighty Macs could not respond in the top of the 9
th.

Stephen DiBattista went 7.2 innings striking out three while dropping his season ERA to 2.31.

Joey Sacco led the offense going 3-4 at the dish, while Crowding went 2-4 including the homerun.
Hunter Weitzel had two hits for the Macs.
Shawn Haut,
Steven Theisen, and
Nick Turnage all added one.

The Immaculata baseball team is back in action tomorrow afternoon when they conclude their regular season with a doubleheader at the Immaculata Baseball Stadium taking on Cabrini beginning at 12:00 PM.
