Women's Lacrosse Honors Seniors in Win Over Centenary

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's lacrosse team got back in the win column today defeating Centenary 20-2 on Senior Day at Draper Walsh Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Prior to the game Immaculata honored their seniors, Nicole Brennan, Tessa Liberatoscioli, Liza Laxton, Kaitlyn Klitchko, and Jacki Murray for their careers and hard work both on and off the field.

Immaculata was led today by their seniors as each scored goals during the game. Tessa Liberatoscioli scored five goals and had two assists. Liza Laxton scored three goals and added two assists. Kaitlyn Klitchko scored three goals and had two assists. Jacki Murray had two goals and three assists. Ava Hoffman had three goals, and one assist. Cara Strickland, Nicole Brennan, Carly Oberg, and Ashley Finkbiner each scored one goal each.

Carly Oberg and Tessa Liberatoscioli each collected a game high seven ground balls. Liza Laxton and Avan Hoffman each registered a game high four caused turnovers. Tessa Liberatoscioli had a game high 6 draw controls.

In the first quarter, Immaculata opened the scoring early as Kaitlyn Klitchko scored Immaculata's first two goals of the game. Klitchko would complete the hat trick later in the first quarter with her third goal. Liza Laxton, Tessa Liberatoscioli, Ava Hoffman, and Jacki Murray all scored as Immaculata led 12-0 after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Tessa Liberatoscioli, Jacki Murray, and Carly Oberg all scored as Immaculata took a 15-1 lead into the halftime break.

In the second half of the game, Nicole Brennan, Ava Hoffman, Tessa Liberatoscioli, Ashley Finkbiner, and Cara Strickland all scored for the Mighty Macs.

Abigail Guarneri made six saves in goal and had two ground balls.

The Immaculata University women's Lacrosse team (7-5, 1-1 Atlantic East) will be back in action next Saturday, April 13th when they travel to play at Gwynedd Mercy University at 1:00 PM.
