IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team opened up Atlantic East Conference play with a 20-11 defeat on the road at Marymount this afternoon.

Immaculata was trailing 4-0 in the first period prior to junior
Andrea Petito finding the back of the net to cut the deficit to 4-1. After
Kaitlyn Klitchko found the net in the period, the Mighty Macs headed into the second period with a 7-2 deficit. Klitchko would add the lone Mighty Macs goal in the second period as the team trailed 10-3 at the half.

In the second half, Klitchko would add five more goals for Immaculata, giving her a new career high for a single game with seven goals on the afternoon.
Ava Hoffman added a pair of goals while
Tessa Liberatoscioli found the back of the net once for the Macs.
Liza Laxton led the way with three assists while Liberatoscioli added one of her own.

The team collected 14 groundballs on the afternoon while causing seven turnovers. The Macs had 12 draw controls with Liberatoscioli had a team high six, and
Jacki Murray had four.

The Immaculata women's lacrosse team is back in action on Saturday, April 6
th when host Centenary for Senior Day beginning at 1:00 PM at Draper Walsh Stadium. The program will honor their five seniors,
Liza Laxton,
Jacki Murray,
Kaitlyn Klitchko,
Tessa Liberatoscioli and
Nicole Brennan prior to the contest. Â
