ASTON,Pa.- The Immaculata baseball team opened their Atlantic East Conference series with a 15-7 victory over Neumann this afternoon.

Immaculata put up a two spot in the first inning, with
Steven Theisen singling in
Joey Sacco.
Joey Wright followed that up by stealing home. In the second inning, the Mighty Macs took advantage of some Knights defensive miscues to go ahead 5-0.

The Mighty Macs would add another run with a
Shawn Haut RBI single in the 5
th. A sixth inning five spot would put this game out of reach for the Knights, with Sacco,
Josh Crowding, Theisen and
Nick Turnage all collecting runs batted in during the top of the frame. Theisen would continue his day with an RBI double in the 8
th, with
Erik Molinaro also driving in one run with a productive groundout.

The Mighty Macs had 15 hits in the game, with
Joey Wright leading the way with four,
Shawn Haut added three, while Theisen and
Hunter Weitzel each had multi hit days. Theisen also had four RBI's on the day, Sacco and Turnage each added a pair.

Steven DiBattista picked up his team high eighth win of the season on the mound for Immaculata.

The Immaculata baseball team is back in action tomorrow April 27
th to wrap up their Atlantic East series with Neumann at the Immaculata Baseball Stadium beginning at 12:00 PM.
