IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University men's tennis team (4-7, 1-2 Atlantic East) defeated Eastern University in their regular-season finally 5-4 on Wednesday afternoon at the IU Tennis Courts.
Before the match, the Mighty Macs honored their three seniors, Jason Watts (Pottstown, Pa. / Pottsgrove), Jeremy Brown (Downingtown, Pa. / Bishop Shanahan), and Alex Polidoro (Mantua, N.J. / Gloucester Catholic) for their careers and dedication to the Immaculata men's tennis program.
In doubles action, Jason Watts and Troy Watts won the first doubles match 8-7 (7-3). Jeremy Brown and Nicholas Fleming won the second doubles match 8-6. Nicholas Brown and Alex Polidoro lost the third singles match 2-8. As Immaculata led 2-1 after the doubles matches
In singles action, Jason Watts won the first singles match in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. Troy Watts lost the second singles match 3-6, 6-3, 7-10. Nicholas Fleming won the third singles match 6-3, 2-6, 10-7. Jeremy Brown lost the fourth singles match 2-6, 2-6. Nicholas Brown won the fifth singles match in straight sets 6-0, 6-1. Alex Polidoro lost the sixth singles match 2-6, 4-6.
Going 3-3 in the singles matches, Immaculata clinched the 5-4 win.

The Immaculata University men's tennis team finished the season in third place in the Atlantic East Conference and will advance to the Atlantic East Conference Tennis Championships at Neumann University. Immaculata will play the #2 seed Neumann in the Semifinals on Friday, April 26th at 12:00 PM at Neumann University.
