IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata baseball team swept their Atlantic East Conference series taking both games of this afternoon's double header by scores of 8-0 and 13-2.

Jason Hughes was dominant in game one, striking out a program record 14 batters in seven innings of work, surrendering two hits.

Joey Wright led the offense with three hits in the first game, including a solo homerun over the left field wall for his 200
th career hit. Wright becomes the 3
rd member of the 200 hit club, joining teammates
Joey Sacco and
Josh Crowding. Wright drove in three runs as well for the Macs.

Shawn Haut drove in a pair while
Jay Lawrence had an RBI of his own.
Hunter Weitzel was 2-3 in game one for the Mighty Macs.

GAME TWO: IMMACULATA: 13 GWYNEDD MERCY: 2

Shawn Haut gave the Macs an early 1-0 lead with his single in the bottom of the first, bringing home
Joey Wright. Gwynedd would tie things up in the top of the fourth inning, it would take
Steven Theisen one pitch in the bottom of the fourth to give Immaculata the lead back, sending his first homerun of the year over the left field wall. The Macs would add two more in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead. Gwynedd would cut the lead in half in the top of the 5
th.

Joey Wright would extend the lead for good with a 3-run homerun over the left field wall, his second of the day and 19
th of his career moving him into second all-time in career homeruns at Immaculata, making the score 7-2.

The 7
th inning would put the game away, as the Macs brought across six runs in the frame,
Ryan Struble,
Robert Woodward, Weitzel, Sacco and Wright would all drive in runs in the inning.

Alex LePage picked up his fourth win of the season going 6.2 innings striking out seven while limiting the Griffins to a pair of runs.

rd when they travel to Rowan University for a 3:30 non-conference matchup.
