Men's Lacrosse Falls to Susquehanna in Non-Conference Match-Up

SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Immaculata University men's lacrosse team fell 15-6 to Susquehanna University in a non-conference road game on Wednesday afternoon.  

Susquehanna opened the scoring in the game's opening minutes taking a 1-0 lead. Immaculata would answer back with 8:30 remaining in the quarter when Matthew Frame scored on an assist from Nicholas DeFillipo to tie the score at 1-1. Susquehanna would regain the lead with a goal late in the quarter to lead 2-1 after the first quarter. 

Susquehanna would score all five goals in the second quarter to lead 7-1 at halftime. 

David Azzarano would score three goals in the third quarter for Immaculata with a pair of assists from Nicholas DeFilippo, and one from Bailey Manion. Susquehanna would lead 13-4 after three quarters. 

In the fourth quarter, Nicholas DeFilippo scored a goal on an assist from Joseph Biuso, and David Azzarano scored his fourth goal of the game on an assist from Robbie Wishart. Susquehanna would go on to close out the win 15-6. 

Immaculata was led offensively by David Azzarano with four goals. Nicholas DeFilippo had one goal and three assists. Matthew Frame had one goal. Joseph Biuso, Bailey Manion, and Robbie Wishart each had one assist. 

Defensively, Aidan Lawrence led Immaculata with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Goalkeeper Matthew Ludlow had 16 saves on the day.

The Immaculata University men's lacrosse team (2-2, 0-0 Atlantic East) will return to action on Saturday, March 9th when they host Moravian University at Draper Walsh Stadium for a non-conference match-up at 1:00 PM.
