SANFORD,Fl.- The Immaculata baseball team used six home runs on the afternoon to take down Mount Union by a score of 15-5.

Shawn Haut got the scoring started in the bottom of the first, sending a 3-2 pitch over the wall in leftfield for his first homerun as a Mighty Mac and giving the team an early 1-0 lead. The Macs would use a big second inning to stretch the lead to 6-0, with
Matt Passerini driving in
Joey Sacco for the second run of the game, Haut would single soon after driving in
Hunter Weitzel.
Josh Crowding sent his first home run over the center field fence to drive in three and make it a 6-0 ballgame, scoring Passerini and Haut.

The Raiders would respond with two unearned runs in the top of the third to make it a 6-2 score. The Mighty Macs would answer right back in the bottom half with
Robert Woodward driving in Sacco with a single, Passerini would bring in another with an RBI groundout. Up stepped Haut again with Woodward standing on second base. Haut would tally his second big fly of the game with a two-run homer to left field making it a 10-2 game.

The Raiders would answer with a run in the top of the fourth. In the bottom half,
Ryan Struble would hit Immaculata's fourth homerun of the game, a solo shot. In the fifth inning,
Joey Wright would double in
Sal Serici making the score 12-3.

In the 6
th, Weitzel would extend the lead to 10 with a single plating Sacco. Mount Union would add two in the seventh to make the score 13-5. Â With two outs in the 9
th Joey Wright hit his 3
rd homerun of the early season, and the Macs 5
th of the game to make it 14-5.
Jay Lawrence would call game with a home run on the next pitch, hitting a walk off homer to right via the ten-run rule, his first home run of the year and the teams 6
th of the day.

Alex LePage picked up his second win of the season on the mound, allowing two hits and one earned on the afternoon while striking out seven.

The Immaculata baseball team is back in action tomorrow, March 7
th when they take on Husson University for a 6:45 PM start.
