Lentowski Scores 1,000 Career Point as Macs Fall to Neumann in the Atlantic East Semifinals

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's basketball team's season ended tonight falling to Neumann in the Atlantic East Semifinals 64-54.

In the first quarter. Neumann jumped out to a quick 8-2 with 6:34 remaining. Morgan Falcone hit a pair of three-pointers to pull Immaculata to pull Immaculata even at 8-8. Tessa Liberatoscioli followed with a three-pointer of her own to put Immaculata ahead 11-8. Olivia Ettorre hit a jumper and a three-pointer later in the quarter as Neumann led 22-18 after one quarter of play.

In the second quarter, Immaculata got baskets from Abigail Boyer, Morgan Falcone, Abigail Lentowski and Tessa Liberatorscioli. Neumann would carry a 33-26 lead into the halftime break.

In the third quarter, Neumann came out strong growing their lead to as high as 14 points with 2:37 remaining. Olivia Ettorre would hit a three-pointer with 2:17 remaining to pull Immaculata back to within 11 points. Neumann would lead 49-35 after three quarters.

In the fourth quarter, Tessa Liberatoscioli hit a jumper to pull Immaculata back to within eight with 7:52 remaining. Morgan Falcone pulled Immaculata within seven with a pair of free throws with 2:51 remaining. Neumann continued to keep Immaculata at bay to close out the win.

Abigail Lentowski scored on a layup with 0:15 remaining to register her 1,000th career point. Congratulations, to Abigail Lentowski for becoming the 25th Immaculata women's basketball player to reach the 1,000-point mark.

Immaculata was led by Tessa Liberatoscioli with 14 points, eight rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals. Liberatoscioli, finishes the season with an Immaculata program record and Atlantic East Conference single-season record 103 steals in 26 games. Senior Morgan Falcone finished with 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Abigail Lentowski scored nine points, and three rebounds. Olivia Ettorre scored eight points and had three rebounds off the bench. Reese Mullins scored seven points, had three rebounds, three assists, and added two steals.

Immaculata finishes their season with a 15-11 overall record, and a 7-3 record in Atlantic East Conference play.

Congratulations to Immaculata's four senior-student athletes, Mary deSimone, Morgan Falcone, Victoria Foster, and Bridget Philbin on their outstanding careers as Mighty Macs, and wish them all the best in their futures.
