IMMACULATA, Pa.- Senior
Reese Mullins scored a game-high 24 points to help Immaculata defeat Haverford College, 70-56 on Wednesday evening at Alumnae Hall.
Immaculata moves to 2-1 on season while Haverford falls to 1-1.
How it Happened
After Haverford opened the scoring, Immaculata used a 12-point run that included three-pointers by
Tessa Liberatoscioli and
Reese Mullins to open a 12-2 lead. Mullins would later complete an old-fashioned three-point play as Immaculata led 16-6 after the first quarter of play.
In the second quarter of play Shae Mercer hit an early three-pointer for the Fords, which
Abigail Boyer responded to with a three-pointer of her own as Immaculata took a 19-9 lead.
Carly Coleman made a pair of free throws and hit a layup to put Immaculata ahead 28-19.
Riley Cassidy made a layup with 0:28 remaining in the half as Immaculata led 30-20 at the break.
Tessa Liberatoscioli hit a pair of three pointers sandwiched around a basket by
Olivia Ettorre early in the third quarter to increase Immaculata's lead to 38-22.
Olivia Ettorre and
Abigail Boyer followed with layups to build the Mighty Macs lead to 20 at 42-22. After a layup by
Carly Coleman,
Alyssa Long stole the ball and scored on a driving layup.
Reese Mullins would later add a three-point play and a three pointer as Immaculata led 54-30 after three quarters.
In the fourth quarter
Carly Coleman got things started for Immaculata with a layup, and
Tessa Liberatoscioli followed with another three-pointer. Haverford would not go away quietly in the fourth quarter as Audrey Jakway scored 17 points in the fourth quarter for the Fords.
Reese Mullins later hit a pair of three-pointers for Immaculata as the Mighty Macs closed out the win 70-56.

- Reese Mullins led all scorers with 24 points, shooting 9-14 (.643) from the field, and was 4-5 (.800) from behind the arc. Mullins added five rebounds and one steal. She has been in double figures in all three games for Immaculata.
- Tessa Liberatoscioli scored 14 points shooting 4-5 (.800) from behind the arc with four assists, three rebounds, and four steals.
- Carly Coleman was in double figures for the third straight game scoring 11 points, with three assists, eight rebounds, one blocked shot, and four steals.
- Abigail Boyer scored seven points, with one rebound, one blocked shot, and two steals.
- Olivia Ettorre had six points, with three rebounds, and two blocked shots. Ettorre did an excellent job at the defensive end, limiting Haverford's opportunities early in the game.
- Riley Cassidy scored six points, with one rebound and one steal.
- Meg Robbins had a game-high nine rebounds.
- Alyssa Long added a steal, and two points.
