IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata softball team dropped both games of their Atlantic East Conference double header with Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday afternoon.

Game One: Immaculata 5 Gwynedd Mercy 8
Â
Immaculata jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the 4
th inning.
Carlee Karcher drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 3
rd to give the Mighty Macs a 1-0 lead.
Sara Rode,
Jess Oldham and
Carlee Karcher all drove runs in during the bottom of the 4
th to give the Macs a 5-0 lead.

Gwynedd Mercy answered back in the top of the 5
th tying up the score with 5 unearned runs. They would take the lead in the bottom of the 6
th to finalize the score at 8-5.

Game Two: Immaculata 2 Gwynedd Mercy 5
Â
Gwynedd Mercy jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1
st inning. The Mighty Macs bounced right back scoring two in the bottom of the first off of a single by
Sara Rode and a double by
Morgan Sakulich.

Gwynedd Mercy would add two more in the top of the second as well as one more in the top of the 3
rd to make the final score of 5-2.

The Mighty Macs tallied seven hits in the contest, with
Jess Oldham going 2-3 with a double.

The Immaculata softball team is back in action on Tueasday, April 11
th when they resume second game of their double header with Cabrini from March 27
th. Â
