IMMACULATA, Pa.-The Immaculata women's lacrosse team fell to Marymount in their final Atlantic East Conference game of the regular season by a score of 21-5 on Wednesday afternoon.
Immaculata opened the scoring early in the first quarter as
Jacki Murray scored with 13:46 remaining in the quarter.
Kaitlyn Klitchko and
Liza Laxton added goals later in the quarter, as Immaculata trailed 5-3 at the end of the first quarter.
Marymount would score the only goals of the second quarter and would take an 11-3 into the half-time break.
As the teams were taking the field for the second half, the game was halted due to lightning in the region. After a thirty-minute delay, the teams took the field for the second half to begin.
Immaculata would get second half goals from
Kaitlyn Klitchko, and
Liza Laxton. Marymount would go on to take the game 21-5.
Kaitlyn Klitchko led the Macs offensively with two goals and one assist.
Liza Laxton scored two goals, and
Jacki Murray scored one goal and added one assist.
Kelsey Caldarelli had five groundballs and had three caused turnovers.
Immaculata has completed their regular season in fifth place in the Atlantic East Conference with a conference record of 2-4. Immaculata will be back in action Saturday, April 29
th in the Atlantic East Conference Quarterfinals. Playoff information to be determined.
