RADNOR,Pa.- The Immaculata baseball team split their double header with Cabrini University today, dropping game one 5-4 in extra innings and winning game two 12-0 in dominant fashion.

The Mighty Macs took the three game series two games to one  to move themselves to 8-1 in Atlantic East Conference play, good for first place halfway through conference play.

Game One: Immaculata 4 Cabrini 5 (8)

The Macs scored early, with
Josh Crowding driving in
Frank Margiotta with a first inning single. They would extend their lead with a
Ryan Struble single knocking in Crowding and
Joey Wright. Giving the Macs a 3-0 lead in the top of the 1
st.

They would not be able to scratch anymore runs across for the next five innings of play. Trailing 4-3 in the top of the seventh and down to their final out, leadoff man
Frank Margiotta would do the unimaginable, stealing home to tie up the ballgame and force extra innings. Cabrini would walk it off with a single in the bottom of the 8
th inning.

The
Ryan Crowell Game. The senior right-handed pitcher was on a different level in the deciding game three of the series. Throwing a seven inning, complete game shutout on just 70 pitches. Surrendering just two hits throughout the ball game.

At the plate, the Immaculata offense came out firing, jumping out to an early 5-0 lead in the first inning. With
Joey Sacco,
Steven Theisen,
Justin Klemick, and
Anthony Sasso all supplying RBIs in the top half of the inning.

Joey Wright would continue his torrid week at the plate in the 3
rd inning, driving in two with a double to right field. In the 5
th inning he would add an RBI single to his stat line for the afternoon.

In the 7
th inning, the Mighty Macs would add four more runs via a 2 RBI double from Crowding, as well as RBIs from both Theisen and
Blake Schantz to give them a 12-0 lead.

The Immaculata baseball team is back in action on Wednesday, April 19
th with a 3:30 PM match up with Penn State Abington at the Immaculata Baseball Stadium.
