IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata softball team dropped game one of their home opener with Cabrini by a score of 1-0.

Sophomore pitcher
Emma Mercadante was fantastic on the mound, going the distance, surrendering four hits throughout the game. She would rack up six strikeouts on the afternoon, with the lone run allowed being unearned.

At the plate, the Macs were led by
Kristin Carter who went 2-3 at the plate.
Sara Rode went 1-2 with a pair of walks.
Lauren Carboni would come off the bench and drive a ball into left center to end her day 1-1.

Battling the rain throughout the entirety of the first game, the second game would end up being suspended in the top of the 1
st with a makeup date to be announced.

The Immaculata softball team is back in action tomorrow, Tuesday March 28
th for a pair of games on the road at Ursinus College. Â
