IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team got back in the win column with their 19-11 victory over Delaware Valley University.
A trio of juniors led the way with
Jacki Murray,
Liza Laxton and
Kaitlyn Klitchko all having phenomenal performances. Murray led the way with a game high eight goals, she also added three assists to give herself eleven points on the day. Laxton would add a game high six assists while also finding the back of the net three times. Klitchko would reach paydirt four times in the contest.
With their eleven and nine points in the game, both
Jacki Murray and
Liza Laxton surpassed 100 career points.
Freshman
Sophia Hopf found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal for the Mighty Macs.
Cara Strickland,
Ava Hoffman and
Carly Oberg also scored for Immaculata. Graduate Student
Courtney Floyd would tally an assist in the matchup.
The Mighty Macs caused 11 turnovers and collected 27 ground balls on the afternoon.
The freshman goaltender combination of
Abigail Guarneri and
Amelia Slick would combine for seven saves and a victory.
The Immaculata women's lacrosse team is back in action on Saturday,April 1st for their Atlantic East Conference opener when they host Gwynedd Mercy University at Draper Walsh Stadium for a 1:00 PM start time.
