IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team earned their second win of the week defeating the College of Mount Saint Vincent 12-5 on Saturday afternoon.
Immaculata was led offensively by
Bailey Manion with four goals and one assist, and
Anthony Inserra with two goals and three assists.
Connor Teears added two goals and two assists.
Ben Wesolowski scored two goals, and
David Azzarano and
Joseph Biuso each scored goals for the Mighty Macs, and
Nicholas DeFilippo added an assist.
David Azzarano had a game high eight ground balls and had three caused turnovers.
Anthony Inserra,
Trey Rorer each had seven ground balls for the Macs.
Matthew Ludlow earned the win in goal playing the first three quarters of the game making 15 saves and added seven ground balls.
Matthew Kirkland played the fourth quarter in goal and made three saves and added one ground ball.
Immaculata got off to a fast start scoring the games first seven goals, before the College of Mount Saint Vincent scored in the final minute of the first half as the Mighty Macs took a 7-1 lead into the halftime break.
Immaculata would outscore Mount Saint Vincent 3-1 in the third quarter and took a 10-2 lead into the fourth quarter. The Mighty Macs would go on in the fourth quarter to close out the 12-5 win.
The Immaculata men's lacrosse team (6-3) will be back in action on Wednesday, March 29
th when they visit Rosemont College for non-conference match up at 6:00 PM.
