IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team dropped their season opener to Misericordia 18-3 on Saturday afternoon.
In the first quarter Misericordia opened the scoring with 13:30 remaining.
Jacki Murray got Immaculata on the board with 11:14 remaining on an assist from
Liza Laxton. Misericordia scored the next five goals, before
Jacki Murray scored her second goal on an assist from Kaitlin Klitchko with 0:55 remaining in the quarter. Misericordia would lead 7-2 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second and third quarter of play, Misericordia scored all eight goals, and carried an 16-2 lead into the fourth quarter.
Jacki Murray scored her third goal of game in the fourth quarter on an assist from
Liza Laxton. Misericordia would go on to close out the game winning 18-3.
Jacki Murray scored all three of Immaculata's goals on the day.
Liza Laxton had two assists, and Kaitlin Klitchko had an assist.
The Mighty Macs will return to action next Saturday, February 25
th when they host Alvernia at 1:00 PM at Draper Walsh Stadium.
