IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University men's basketball team defeated Centenary University 71-60 in an Atlantic East Conference game on Wednesday evening.

Immaculata was led by Gregory Vlassopoulos who recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Vlassopoulos shot 5-for-8 from the field, 3-for-6 from behind the arc, and hit 6-for-7 from the stripe. John Proctor added 16 points and eight rebounds, and Tim Schultice scored 15 points and contributed eight rebounds. Tyler Tillery scored eight points and added three blocked shots.

In the first half Immaculata would use an eight-point run to take a 16-10 lead with 11:28 remaining in the half. In the final minute of the half Greg Vlassopoulos hit a three-pointer with 0:44 remaining and hit another three-pointer to beat the buzzer as Immaculata held a 35-22 lead at half-time.

In the second half Centenary came out and applied pressure on Immaculata. Centenary would come back to take 51-47 lead with 10:31 remaining in the game. Immaculata would quickly regain the lead at 52-51 following a three-pointer from Keith Farmer and a pair of free throws from Gregory Vlassopoulos. After Centenary tied the score again at 56-56, Gregory Vlassopoulos gave the Macs the lead for good with another three-pointer with 4:17 remaining. Tim Schultice would score seven consecutive points for the Macs to increase the lead to 66-56. Immaculata would go on to take the win 71-60.

Immaculata (8-13, 5-3 Atlantic East) will head to Neumann on Saturday, February 4^th for an Atlantic East Conference game at 3:00 PM.
