IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata men's soccer team dropped their first Atlantic East Conference matchup to Gwynedd Mercy by a score of 1-0. They move to 2-1 in Atlantic East play.
 
In a game that was plagued by bad weather, it was the Griffins who were able to capitalize on a Mighty Mac mistake, leading to the only goal of the game in the 32^nd minute of play.  
 
The Mighty Macs led the Griffins in shots (13), shots on goal (7), and corner kicks (4), but ultimately could not find the back of the net.  Six Mighty Macs put the ball on frame, with Matthew Kirkpatrick leading the way with two. Josh Fonder, Ryan Straub, John Bohrer, Justin Hahn, and Michael Prall each added one shot on goal in the contest.  Ryan Straub saved five of six shots he saw on target.
 
The Immaculata men's soccer team is back in action on Wednesday, October 18^th when they travel to Neumann University for a 7:00 PM Atlantic East Conference matchup.
