GWYNEDD VALLEY,Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team picked up their second straight Atlantic East Conference victory when they took down Gwynedd Mercy by a score of 3-2 in double OT.

Gwynedd Mercy jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 7
th minute of play. In the second quarter, the Vandebraak sisters would team up with the equalizer with senior

Jillian Vandenbraak in the 19
th minute mark.

In the 28
th minute of play, L.Vandenbraak would give Immaculata the lead finding the back of the net to make the score 2-1 heading into the half. The 2-1 score would hold until the 50
th minute when the Griffins would tie it up.

The contest would remain deadlocked at 2-2 throughout the end of regulation and the first 10-minute overtime period. In the 5
th minute of double overtime,
Lauren Vandenbraak would find junior
Della George who would fire a shot past the Griffins goalie for a game winning goal.

Immaculata drew 16 penalty corners on the evening, while adding 18 shots on goal. Six Mighty Macs put shots on goal, with J.Vandenbraak (3) ,

Lauren Buckel (1), L.Vandebraak (7),

Kailey Mayoros (2).
Julia Levase made three saves in the contest to pick up the win for Immaculata in goal.

th, where they will honor their 3 senior athletes prior to the game.
