IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's tennis team was back in action on Tuesday afternoon hosting Penn State-Abington at the IU Tennis Courts. Immaculata would go on to defeat Penn State-Abington 6-3.
In doubles action, Immaculata's first doubles team of Pamela Kontaras and Delaney Brown won their match 8-2. The second doubles team of Audrey Keen and Sydney Mehaffey won their match by an identical score of 8-2. Immaculata's third doubles team of Carly Wetzel and Marie Mavroudis won the third doubles match by forfeit giving Immaculata a 3-0 lead heading into the singles matches.
In singles action, Pamela Kontaras lost the first singles match by scores of 3-6, 3-6. Delaney Brown won the second singles match in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. Audrey Keen won her singles match in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. Sydney Mehaffey lost the fourth singles match in a tiebreaker falling 2-6, 6-1, 7-10. Carly Wetzel lost the fifth singles match 3-6, 1-6. Marie Mavroudis won the sixth singles match by forfeit.
