Men's Tennis Defeats Elizabethtown

Box Score ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.- The Immaculata men's tennis team won their second consecutive match on Sunday afternoon defeating Elizabethtown College 8-1.

The Mighty Macs started the afternoon with a 2-0 lead in the match after the Blue Jays had to forfeit the third doubles and sixth singles matches. The teams would split the other two doubles matches with Jason Watts and Troy Watts winning their first doubles match 8-3. Nicholas Fleming and Nicolas Meehan dropped the second doubles match 8-7 (7-0 in tiebreaker).

The Mighty Macs would sweep the singles matches to earn the victory. Jason Watts won his first singles match 6-2, 6-3. Troy Watts won the second singles 6-2, 6-2. Nicolas Meehan won third singles match 6-4, 6-4. Nicholas Fleming won his fourth singles match 6-0, 6-2 while Jeremy Brown won his fifth singles match 6-0, 7-6 (7-3 in tiebreaker).

Immaculata will be back in action on Saturday, September 24th when they travel to play at Moravian College. The contest is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
