Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. -  The Immaculata women's volleyball team swept Bryn Athyn College on Thursday night with scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-23 on the match. The Mighty Macs record now stands at 3-2 on the season.

The Macs found themselves behind early in set one as the Lions went up 3-0 and then 4-1. After earning the side out Emily Ettien served four straight points to put the Macs up 6-4. With the Macs holding a 12-9 lead, the Lions rebounded with four straight points to take a 13-12 lead. Following a kill by Emma Hodgson, Diana Rivera served consecutive aces to put the Macs back on top. Lilly Burnette and Isabelle Davis each served consecutive points to close out the first set for the Macs.

In set two the Macs jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead as Emma Hodgson served five straight points. With the Macs up 16-11 Isabella Ridgell served three straight points to extend the lead to 19-11 for the Macs. Isabelle Davis put the set away with a Kill on an assist from Emily Ettien as the Macs won set two 25-13.

In set three the Lions jumped out to a quick 8-0 lead, before Emily Ettien earned the side out with a kill and then served four straight points to get the Macs back in the set. With the Macs trailing 11-7 in the set Lilly Burnette five straight points to put the Macs up 12-11. The Lions refused to go quietly as the railed six straight points to even the set at 22-22. The Macs were able to close out the set on consecutive kills by Davis and Hodgson to take the match with a 25-23 win.

Hodgson recorded nine kills and Davis recorded seven kills on the match to lead the Mighty Macs offensively. Ettien, meanwhile earned 21 assists on the night. Burnette led the Macs on defense with 15 digs on the night.

The Mighty Macs with return to action on Tuesday, September 20^th when they travel to play at Penn State Berks. The match is scheduled to start at 6:00 P.M.
