WILKES-BARRE, Pa.- Immaculata's field hockey team earned their first victory of the season on the road at King's College with a 2-1 win in Overtime.  

Immaculata got on the board in the 7th minute of the first quarter when Maddy Edwards scored her first goal of the season on an assist by Lauren Vandenbraak. The goal stood as the only shot on goal for either team in the first quarter and Immaculata held a 1-0 lead going into the second quarter.  

In the second quarter, both the Immaculata and King's defenses stood tall as neither side could find a goal.  

Kings', scored in the 3rd quarter to knot the score at 1-1 where it held for the rest of the second half.  

The game went into sudden victory overtime. 4 minutes into the overtime period, Lauren Buckel notched her first goal of the season on a penalty stroke. This goal gave the Mighty Macs a 2-1 victory. Goalkeeper Julia Levase led the way for the defense with 6 saves on the afternoon. 

Immaculata is back in action on Tuesday, September 13th when they return to Draper Walsh Stadium to take on the Bryn Athyn College Lions at 6:00 P.M
