Women's Lax Takes Down Delaware Valley

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Kaitlyn Klitchko scored five goals as the Immaculata women's lacrosse team took down the Delaware Valley Aggies 13-7 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Klitchko kicked off the day for the Macs just over a minute in, scoring unassisted to give the Macs an early 1-0 lead. She later scored a second goal on the quarter, matching the Aggies on the period as the score stood 2-2 after the first quarter.
 
Two and a half minutes into the second quarter, Klitchko scored her third goal of the day on an assist from Liza Laxton. 40 seconds later, Ashley Hankin scored on an assits from Klitcho to give the Macs a 4-2 advantage. After the Aggies scored to cut the Macs' lead to 4-3. Klitchko scored with four minutes remaining on the half, giving the Macs a 5-3 lead at the half.
 
The Macs outscored the Aggies 3-1 on the third quarter to increase their lead. Maddy Terry scored 30 seconds into the quarter to give the Macs a 6-3 advantage. Erynn Kriebel and Nicole Brennan each also scored on the quarter as the Macs owned an 8-4 lead over the Aggies.
 
Hankin scored two straight goals to kick of the fourth quarter, giving the Macs a six-goal lead over the Aggies. The Aggies attempted to come back, scoring three goals in a four-minute span, but the Macs matched their production as they claimed a 13-7 victory over the Aggies.
 
The Macs outshot the Aggies 29-18 on the game with Klitchko leading the way with nine shots and five goals. Hankin also contributed with three goals on the game while Laxton led the Macs with our assists and eight draw controls on the game.
 
The Mighty Macs will return to action on Wednesday as they host Bryn Mawr in a 4:00 P.M. contest.
