SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Immaculata women's lacrosse team dropped their away match against the Swarthmore Garnet 17-3 on Wednesday evening.
The first quarter found the Macs down double-digits as the Garnet put up ten goals on the quarter.
The Macs then broke the ice in the second quarter as
Kaitlyn Klitchko connected on a goal to make the score 10-1. The Garnet, however, scored three more goals on the quarter to go into halftime up 13-1 over the Macs.
Swarthmore added three additional goals in the third quarter, taking a 16-1 lead over Immaculata.
Jackie Murray then scored two goals in the fourth quarter for the Macs, but it would not be enough as the Macs dropped their contest 17-3.
Jackie Murray led the Macs on the day, scoring two goals and recording four shots on goal overall. Klitchko also contributed with one goal of her own.
The Mighty Macs will return to action on Wednesday as they travel to Doylestown for a matchup against Delaware Valley.
