CHESTER, Pa. – The Immaculata women's lacrosse team dropped its match against Widener on Monday afternoon by a final score of 20-4.
Tessa Liberatoscioli and
Maddy Terry led the Macs on the game with two goals each while Liberatoscioli also added an assist.
After allowing three goals within the first four minutes of the game, the Macs responded with a breakaway goal off a draw control from Liberatoscioli. The Pride then went on to score seven straight goals going into the second quarter. Liberatoscioli scored her second goal of the game with nine minutes remaining on the half. Then, in the final minute of action, Liberatoscioli fed Terry for her first goal of the game as the score stood 10-3 at the half.
The second half would yield the same number of goals from the Pride as they went on to score 10 additional goals. The Mighty Macs, however, were kept only to one goal as Terry scored a man-up goal at the 13-minute mark in the fourth quarter. The goal would not be enough though as the Macs fell 20-4.
Liberatoscioli led the Macs with two goals and one assist on the game while registering five shots and six draw control wins. Terry, meanwhile, scored two goals on her lone two shots of the day, including one on a free position.
The Macs return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Alvernia for a 4:00 P.M. contest.
