IMMACULATA, Pa.- Following a season in which they finished fifth place in the conference, reaching the conference semifinals, the Immaculata men's basketball team is set to return to Alumnae Hall as they begin their 2022-23 campaign to make a run at the Atlantic East Conference title.
Immaculata will open its season on Tuesday, November 8
th as they host the University at Albany Great Danes at Alumnae Hall at 5:00 P.M. The Mighty Macs will be at home again on Wednesday, November 9
th when they host Washington College at 8:00 P.M. On Thursday, November 10
th the Mighty Macs will travel to take on Delaware State at 7:00 P.M.
"The team looks energized and excited about the opportunity to compete this season," said Head Coach
Jayson Hyman. "We are looking forward to opening our season with our first-week opportunities to test ourselves against UAlbany, Delaware State, and compete against a well-coached Washington College team. "
Returning to the Mighty Macs this season is senior
Tyler Tillery. Tillery was the second leading scorer for the Macs last season and lead the team with forty blocked shots. Tillery will be a leader for the team both on and off the court.
Tillery is joined by a seasoned crew of experienced players, and some new additions that will help lead the team. Seniors
Keith Farmer who led the team in rebounds,
Tim Schultice, and
Murad Preston will be counted on to provide veteran leadership. Juniors Greg Vlassopoulos, who started all 27 games last season and
Steven Dao, and sophomore
Dylan Crews will play big roles this season.
Immaculata will feature some new players that they are looking to make and impact right away.
"We expect impacts from
John Proctor, who brings a defensive presence to our group," explained Hyman. "
Jalen Flowers and
Kevin Telesford, incoming freshmen will us with their shooting.
Scion Dorsey, who transferred in will look to help us on the boards. I think they will help us right away."

Brandon Perez,
Jamal Hairston,
Sage Harkins,
John Flood,
Keith Lambert, and Sophomore
Ryan Straub round out the Mighty Macs roster.
"We expect to compete hard every game and be consistent with our habits. Play together and push each other to compete at a high level each day," concluded Hyman.
