ST.MARY'S, Md.- The Immaculata field hockey team dropped their  Atlantic East Conference Semifinal match up to St.Mary's College of Maryland by a score of 4-0.
 
The game was a defensive battle in the first half, with the Mighty Macs defense keeping the high powered Seahawk offense off of the board in the first half. Heading into the half the score was 0-0.
 
The second half was a different story, as the Seahawks scored in the 38^th, 40^th, 45^th and 52^nd minutes of play. On the offensive end, the Mighty Macs were led by Della George and Gianna Gatto who were able to tally shots on goal. The Macs were also able to create 3 offensive corners in the match up.
 
Goalkeeper Julia Levase added 12 saves in a tremendous effort in goal.
 
With this loss, the Mighty Macs 2022 campaign has come to a close. The 2022 season featured the first time Immaculata field hockey has reached the semi finals since 2010. Immaculata Athletics would also like to congratulate the seniors on their contributions to the program in their times as a Mac.
