IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's volleyball team fell to Neumann in their final Atlantic East Conference match of the season, three sets to one.
Prior to the match the Immaculata women's volleyball team honored their only Senior
Isabelle Davis on her outstanding collegiate career at Immaculata. "Izzy" as her teammates call her was a four-year member of the team and a two-year captain. She finishes her career with 60 matches played, 340 kills, 53 assists, 50 service aces, and 457 digs.
In the first set Neumann jumped out to an early lead, before Immaculata tied the score at 7-7 after a pair of service aces by
Isabelle Davis. Neumann would use an eight-point scoring run to take the first set by a score of 25-10.
In the second set Immaculata opened an early 3-0 lead on a service ace from
Emily Ettien. Neumann then responded with another eight-point scoring run to open an 8-3 lead. Neumann would go on to take the second set 25-17.
In set three the Mighty Macs jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead led by
Emily Ettien's serve, and a kill from
Isabelle Davis.
Isabella Ridgell,
Ava Thorley, and
Lily Burnette each served multiple points in the set. Immaculata would go on to take the third set by a score of 25-18.
Neumann would close out the match by taking the fourth set 25-14.
Immaculata was led by
Isabelle Davis and
Emma Hodgson with four kills, and Isabella Ridgel with three kills.
Emily Ettien registered 15 assists, two service aces, and eight digs.
Lily Burnette had 13 digs for the Macs.
