Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's volleyball team dropped their non-conference matchup against Ursinus 3-0 on Thursday evening at Alumnae Hall.
In the first set Ursinus jumped out to an early 6-2 lead. With Ursinus up 14-8 Immaculata went on five- point run to close the score to 14-13 behind four consecutive points served by
Emily Ettien. Ursinus would use a six-point run of their own to close out the first set 25-16.
In the second set Immaculata would open and early 8-2 lead on a five-point service run by
Emma Hodgson that included two service aces. The teams continued to exchange runs of points with Ursinus taking the second set 25-22.
In the third set Immaculata used a three-point service run from
Ava Thorley to take a 5-3 lead in the set. Ursinus then used their own five-point run to take a 10-6. The Macs would close the score to 10-9 with consecutive service aces from
Isabelle Davis. Ursinus would use a couple of multi-point runs on their way to closing out the match winning the third set 25-12.
The Mighty Macs were led tonight by
Isabelle Davis and
Mia Esposito that both registered six kills, while
Emily Ettien contributed 14 assists.
Immaculata women's volleyball is back in action on Saturday, October 15
th when they host Cabrini University in an Atlantic East Conference match at Alumnae Hall at 1:00 PM.
