HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Mighty Macs failed to get going offensively as they dropped their second game of the season against Haverford on Monday afternoon. Immaculata now drops to 0-2 on the 2021 season following the contest while Haverford improves to 3-0.
The Fords scored first as Revenel Davis scored in the third minute of action in the first quarter.
After a scoreless second quarter, Davis scored her second goal of the day, giving Haverford a 2-0 lead in the 36
th minute. Davis scored her third goal of the game in the 44
th minute, increasing the Fords' lead to 3-0 heading into the fourth quarter.
Haverford's Delaney Snowden added to the team's lead, scoring a goal in the fourth quarter and securing a 4-0 victory for Haverford.
Freshman midfielder
Kelsey Corbett recorded the Mighty Macs' only shot on the day, a shot on goal, a shot on goal in the second quarter.
Goalkeeper duties were split between freshmen
Julia Levase and
Ashley Finkbiner for the Mighty Macs. Levase started in net, recording 13 saves on 16 shots on goal in 45 minutes of work. Finkbiner entered as goalkeeper for the fourth quarter, notching two saves on three shots on goal for the Mighty Macs.
The Mighty Macs will return to action on Wednesday as they travel up to Bethlehem for a 7:00 P.M. matchup against Moravian.
