BALTIMORE, Md. – The Immaculata Mighty Macs men's tennis team kicked off their fall schedule on Saturday by competing in the Goucher College Invitational.
Sophomore
Jeremy Brown earned a 6-1 victory in singles for the Mighty Macs. John also joined sophomore
Kevin Lyons in doubles competition, where they lost two consecutive matches with final scores of 8-0 in both contests.
Also competing in doubles for the Mighty Macs were the pair of sophomore
Jason Watts and freshman
Nicholas Fleming. The pair lost their first match 8-0 while they lost their second match 8-4. Watts also lost his singles match by scores of 7-6 (5) and 6-3 while Fleming dropped his contest 6-1, 4-6, and 12-10.
Juniors
Nicholas John and
Sean Chalmers also dropped consecutive doubles matches with two final scores of 8-0. John also competed in singles for the Mighty Macs, dropping his contest with scores of 6-0 and 6-2.
The Mighty Macs will return to action for day two of the Goucher Invitational tomorrow.
