GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- Following a road victory at Marywood to open Atlantic East play last Wednesday afternoon, the Immaculata men's tennis team returned to the court on Tuesday evening for another Atlantic East matchup against Gwynedd Mercy. Immaculata battled throughout the evening but fell by a final of 7-2.
In first doubles,
Michael Chartier and
Matt DeHaut teamed up to score the first point of the afternoon for Immaculata with an 8-5 victory while Nick John and
Jeremy Brown fell in second doubles by a final of 8-0 before dropping third doubles by default.
In singles play, Chartier got the Macs a victory again with a 6-0, 6-1 victory in the first singles spot while Dehaut dropped his second singles match 6-4, 6-3. John fell in third singles 6-0, 6-3 while Brown dropped his fourth singles match 6-4, 6-2 and Lyons fell in the fifth spot 6-0, 6-2. Immaculata dropped the sixth singles match by default in the setback on Wednesday afternoon.
Immaculata will return to action on Thursday, April 22
nd against Cabrini beginning at 3:30 p.m.
