IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Mighty Macs men's basketball team dropped their home matchup against Kean 79-66 on Tuesday evening. 
Gregory Vlassopoulos led the Macs with 17 points and seven rebounds on the night.
 
Kean took an 8-2 lead three minutes into the match as the Mighty Macs found themselves down early. Throughout the first half, the Cougars increased their lead, owning a 32-12 lead over the Macs with eight minutes remaining. During the final eight minutes, however, the Macs began to turn the tide, going on an 18-11 run for the remainder of the half, cutting the Cougars' lead to 43-30 at the half.
 
On the half, the Mighty Macs were led offensively by 
Brandon McCullough and 
Dylan Crews, who recorded six points each over the first half.
 
Over the first eight minutes of the second half, the Mighty Macs continued to cut into the Cougars' lead, going 14-7 to start the half. 
Gregory Vlassopoulos scored six of the Macs' points over the span. A six-point run over a minute, however, allowed the Cougars to regain momentum. The Cougars then match the Macs point-for-point over the final 11 minutes as the Mighty Macs were unable to narrow the gap as the Cougars claimed a 79-66 win over the Macs.
 
Vlassopoulos led the Macs with 17 points and seven rebounds on the night while also contributing with three assists, two steals, and a block. Freshman 
Dylan Crews scored 11 points on the night as well to aid the Macs.
 
The Mighty Macs will return to action on Thursday as they travel to NCAA Division I Wagner College for an exhibition match. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 P.M.
