ASTON, Pa. – The Immaculata women's volleyball team concluded their season on Tuesday, dropping their Atlantic East Quarterfinal match against Neumann 3-0.
In set one, the Macs owned an early 11-3 lead before allowing the Knights to fight their way back into the contest. The Knights would later win the match 26-24, wiping out the Macs' lead.
Immaculata was the subject of the early deficit in set two as Neumann took a 7-1 lead. Immaculata managed to put together a six-point really to take a temporary 12-10 lead, but it would not last as the Macs dropped the set 25-20.
After an early 10-10 battle in set three, Neumann took over, defeating Immaculata 25-14 on the set to secure the sweep.
Junior
Isabelle Davis led Immaculata offensively on the match with 13 kills. Fellow junior McKenna Ryan and sophomore
Isabella Ridgell each recorded 14 digs while
Emily Ettien led the Macs with 16 assists and three aces.
